Laughable matchmaking

I understand they may match Territory War by guild GP, but do they consider amount of GLs each team has? Our most recent opponent has 68 GLs (is that possible!?) and we have 6 at last check. Unsure how we can gain any team growth and confidence when the decks are impossibly stacked.
