With the difficulty of the Chewbacca event being so high, I'm curious about CG's philosophy of new legendary events moving forward. What is the philosophy behind the Chewbacca event? Why so difficult?...

They just don’t want to spend any time testing and tuning the event. Just give everyone ridiculous speed, a non-canon combination that makes it ridiculous hard, design it to just be a random luck of the draw event that you have to sit through a boring cut scene 90 thousand times so the person that spent time making it gets their jollies.
Nothing about this event was designed well. At least Thrawn gives you some trash mob waves to build up the uniques. This event just ignores all the mechanics that BH relies on and totally just drops a dump truck of feces on the players.
