Luke's flash events - worst prizes ever?

I do enjoy the Tier 2 reward: Mk8 BlasTech Weapon Mod prototypes. Scored some in the last time the Flash events occurred, and now just scored more today. I now have 17 of those puppies.

Saves me from farming the Weapon Mod Prototype Salvages (need 20 for the full piece).

I've got quite a few of gear that I have less than 100 of. So, those are useful.

The 66K credits is what I'm mostly after.

Exactly my point. After the first prizes it all goes south... i have also thousands of those gear mats so there is no point for that event for me...

Nah, got 8(!) blastTech prototypes (!) Mk 8 which consists of 20 ordinary BlastTech Mk8 which are quite hard for me to farm.
I think they made some kind of mistake here :))

This. Also keep in mind that this was the first ever flash event. They've changed since and moved more into gear we all want. I like this one, cuz I know I won't be running out of mk8 discs and mk3 comlinks anytime soon

That would be great, if the mk8 blastech mod pieces actually dropped. I've only done tier 2, specifically for that piece, but nothing.

I am hopeful flash events go to what they were promised to be - an answer for gear bottleneck.
Zetas are cool no doubt, but I find full pieces of raid gear more useful.

Anything that helps with carbs,cuffs, guns, boomboxes, black balls, holos and holo lenses would be super ideal.

If its like you say than all is cool...and yes for that bottom part i completly agre!

The way I read it. Flash events = help gear bottleneck. The flash events in July (3 days only) were ewoks. And I believe Cap- said they were still trying to decide requirements and prizes. I could be wrong though. The aforementioned gear I think is a must and I like the structure of every 3 days in a month with requiring different factions each month.
It's true free is free and I could choose not to play it same for TAC challenge. But I also remember devs being quite hype for these events. I hope we get something more stable and rewarding in September.

Not sure I can say this without coming off as whiny, which is not my intent, but I guess the main point of the OP which I agree with is that it feels more frustrating to get junk from the event than to get nothing. I'm confused about why CG would even add Flash Events if they intended them to be frustrating. So it feels like a major oversight that they've allowed them to be frustrating to max-level players.

When they revealed the Flash Events they made a big deal about adjusting difficulty and rewards to the player level. That sounds great, but the fact that they are dropping MkIV Droid Caller Salvage for the top tier in a level 80+ Flash Event tells me that they either have really really poor insight into what gear the players have saved up, or that they don't really care about making the event useful.

I'm sure CG can see what gear is bottlenecking their players and what there's a glut of, so there's no reason to choose gear that's not useful. If they want it to be a tiny gear drop to keep the bottleneck going, just drop one piece of stun cuff salvage, carbanti salvage, or gold eyeball prototype component salvage. It would not speed up our farm all that much, but it would feel like something useful.
