You're right, but that doesn't matter to CG. They aren't concerned about this raid anymore (unless players find a way to make it easier for them, THEN they'll fix that). They are already working on the next raid, among other events to monetize.
And even at higher relic levels, it's not any easier and there's no less RNG. Except for the gungan team and the B2 Magna STAP Sidious Maul team. The other three are painful and annoying, even switching mods around.
My Lumi squad gets max score reliably. I can't say every single time, but I can say that at least 5 raids out of 6 I have no restarts on Lumi. Haven't needed to restart twice on the same raid since the 3rd time we launched it.
I get it, there's RNG, I'm not saying the raid is fun, but I remod 3 of my 5 Jedi, and everything clicks pretty well. The only time it doesn't work is when you get the bonus turns on Wave 8 and then you go into that wave with Potency up and kill everyone except one DDK + the leader (because one of the DDKs gets and early bonus turn and throws DmgImmunity up, then all your counters kill everyone else).
When you get that combo, there's too much healing and DmgIm and dispelling going on because there are only two droids getting bonus turns. If it was lots of droids, then most of the bonus turns would just be attacks and you'd have a shot at dispelling DI and keeping it off until the DDK was dead. But with the DDK getting so many bonus turns, you never get a chance to kill it before it has DI again.
It's a nasty thing, sure, but you can try to prevent it. And even if you get it, you've gotten credit for all the droid kills but the last 2. You're really close to max. If you don't want to restart, that's probably close enough.
Again, I'm not trying to talk anyone into liking the raid, but I use Lumi, Kit, Shaak + 2 disposal Jedi and I find things to be really reliable. I can't be the only one.
