One thing you haven't considered is that a 'Malak solo' is quite a common thing in GAC; it can save you a lot of banners. Giving him a leadership on top of this may greatly affect PvP.
As I said, this was just a fun project I thought of doing. While this would incentivise a team, it would by no means harm his usefulness as a solo character. Even without allies, he’d be immune to Fear, have +20% Health, Defense and Tenacity, anti Stun and Retribution
Aside from my comment I can also see Darth Sion getting a lead since he still lead sith to fight the Jedi Exile. So there is that concept. Maybe Sion Lead can also give Sion a Soling opportunity since he is a walking tank corpse that can heal him self.
