Pretty sure the guy who posted this topic just got his little sith all geared up and zeta and wants to quiet down the nerf crowd by being a smart you know what. The swgoh.gg stats don't lie. And the fact that rex gets dominated by so many comps as well.

Zeta Maul with dn and SA was very much the majority of the teams on my leaderboard from February till just recently. As @ImYourHuckleberry pointed out ours has changed. Rex is more places than others now at the top.

"meta " definitely can be different for every leaderboard out there.

I personally never wanted zeta Maul nerfed just gone because dodge is boring. Luckily mine is shifting.

Battling Rex over and over is boring also but more fun than dodge ball.

Unfortunately I don't think zeta Maul is done yet.

So how do you explain a leaderboard, previously filled with maul leads, now dominated by rex teams? (other than a the counter to a previous meta becomming the new meta) It's no longer an effective counter to maul leads because there are no more maul leads.

Because Maul is still there, dictating the meta. Maul wasn't a counter to the wiggs meta, it obsoleted the wiggs meta and every other meta (except faster Jedi teams)... until Rex came as a counter to it.

the random Rex teams - they may disappear - but the Rex+Chaze+ GK/zKylo/DN...no they would not totally disappear. If those squads didn't defend well generally than people wouldn't be able to leave them in as leaders. If they were truly only a "counter" team, people would climb with them, but switch to another leader to defend. These Rex + chaze elite meta teams are very sticky in their rank on a leaderboard - I see them hold better than zDM leaders everyday. DN leads hold better than zDM currently. DN lead + a mix of SA / SiT / Dooku / GK / zSid / zSO ...very strong squads.

No, you don't hate dodge. Foresight is nothing else than 100% dodge, bringing this tactics to a new extreme. Sith dodge is mild compared to Jedi, really.

There is a difference. Foresight is something I can plan for -- I know that the next attack on X is going to miss (or I know that if I kill Y, X will gain foresight). Dodge is random -- I have no way of knowing if I will hit or not.

Yep - adds even more of a lag. Really if you were looking at GG, what you'd want is a trend graph - who's trending up / down by day over a 30-60 day period and ideally you could sort that by shard vintage date and level. How older shards at the top are trending in terms of usage would be a solid indicator of what the most up to date meta team / teams are. If you could do that I bet we would have seen 60%+ top 10 usage of zDM maybe 3 weeks ago and down to maybe 30-40% currently.

FWIW the earlier the shard the earlier it tends to adapt to meta changes. 2015 players have accrued a lot more resources in terms of gear/stars and are able to switch a little more freely. Particularly if you look at the top 20-50. Some 'younger' shards with a very competitive set of whales in the top 5-10 might be even faster to adapt than a whale-light 2015 shard but for the most part the latter is going to give you a better overall feel.
