I've gotten most of my DS toons past the holoprojector stage so I forgot how much of a pain they are.

With Territory Battles, 85% of my developed roster can't actually be used so I am farming lots of Rebels.

I am currently gearing R2 and he needs for of those things just to get to G9.

That being said, I spend all of my resources farming stun cuffs and stun guns so it's nearly impossible to farm the gold gear as well as the 85 level cap purple gear (which CANT be requested in guild exchange).

It's all about crystals $$$.. no way all require gear will have easier access. We all know that jdhsyafsbcinfvfaydvdngkrh$$$xhdyvd

Some of those purple gears that pretty much everyone needs tons of should be a lot easier to obtain in my opinion (i.e. put in the challenges... swap them out for some of the useless ones that are in there).

Gear is very unbalanced. You get thousands of something you don't need, while everybody is farming the same three or four things. I think that's how they want it. They want slow and steady progress, and rare gear makes that happen.

At LEAST the Mk3 Carbanti Sensor Array is available in the STR Gear Challenge. I'm just concerned, as I'm sure many/most others' as well, that the Gear XII bottleneck will get TOO tight if these gear requirements don't loosen up slightly.

I think this far into the game, it's a fair request. Not asking for hand-me-downs or freebies, so here's my proposed solutions:

1. Add said gear into already existing Gear Challenges.
2. Create a new (possibly Zeta-based difficulty) Gear Challenge for this stuff.
3. Increase the donation limit in the Guild Exchange.

Anything that will cause a loss of $$$ won't happen. The gear crunch will get worse with G12 because it will push people to us crystals on gold gear.

And just to add, I'm fully aware that's the structure of it all holistically. Although, personally I feel with over 150 characters to gear and level I don't think the gearing should be where it is, I understand. They need to make money and the bottom line is the bottom dollar. This is the most effective way they've found. Fine.

That being said, Gear XII likely (with little detail) will be very difficult. Very exclusive. Very bespoke. So peddling back to the gear X (wall 1)-XI (wall 2), XII will effectively be a 3rd wall.

If only 3 of 6 (being conservative) slots require wall-gear, that's ultimately asking for $30.00 per character (ex: used as 1,400 crystal gear), per gear level. IF you were to pay your way through gear, that's a minimum of $90.00 per character. Multiply that by even just your arena squad, and you've netted $450.00. Now XII may be substantially more expensive, we don't know yet. Even with what we do know, do that conservative math.

I guess my whole point is a 3rd wall for gear is too much.

2 gear walls, I get it, you're trying to slow things down, pace the game, and promote longevity.

3 gear walls, and you're talking de-motivation for the mass majority.

And I totally get it, everything is FTP if you save, discipline, and allot over a span of significant time. I'm talking realistic scenarios. Just as there are players who will immediately spend $5K-10K to GXII their whole roster, there are also those who will never spend a dime. Mass majority are those (in my opinion) willing to spend a little for a validating return. I feel a 3rd gear wall is breaking to a lot of players.

Overall, see my original post for my possible solutions. I'm just hoping the devs will consider loosening their hold on some of these pivotal gear pieces' accessibility.

They simply need to change the components for the new gear and eventually raise the bottle neck. For it to start on gear 8 is absurd

It's pretty terrible. Flash events were suppose to be an answer to it and now flash events is having an identity crisis :/
Gear heists- all scoundrel

Stun cuff drop rate is horrendous. Been farming all week! Friday was 3/40, Saturday was 10/51, Sunday was 6/45 and Today was 9/45. These numbers are disgustingly low. For all that work I can't even create one cuff!
