MobileGamer tells the truth

https://youtu.be/HvimyTnd3Tk
“This game is now Galaxy of Hoarders! The only people that are going to benefit from the events are hoarders”. He was very frustrated because he only just realised this simple fact that I have known for quite some time. Hoarding has been proven to be the best strategy for these new epic events (legendary events too). As long as I have the characters at or close to 7*, I will be able to complete the event and get the new Epic characters for free. This strategy works wonders for players like me with a very large character base.

You all have seen my gear stash, now I will show you my crystals stash, collected from daily activities and arena. Only 29k, not much, but enough for any panic farming which I have decided not to do at all. One day, they pull the power to the sever, I simply delete this game. I don’t play a game to get upset and I believe people who spend $ playing a game certainly shouldn’t.

Dude. At least state facts. Mobile gamer hardly ever complains. Clearly you didn’t watch this video. Mobile gamer is spot on

I watched the video, I do agree that the game has basically become an episode of hoarders. But MG has a habit of whining about every **** thing. He complains way too much in most of his videos. That's probably just my opinion of him though. Seems to me you need to brush up on his videos because most of them has him complaining about something

Did it ever occur to you that the complaints were present b/c they are valid?

Complaints are valid yes, my point is that it seems ALL he does is complain as if there aren't any good things about this game at all. If there weren't any good qualities about this game, none of us would really be here. Hes just negative about everything it seems and it is annoying.

When the negatives far outweigh the positives it becomes difficult to be chipper about the situation. What was the last really good thing that occured in this game that the community could get behind?
You've got to remember too that from his standpoint this is also impacting his livelihood. The more CG pisses off their base the less people go to his channel

His livelihood depending on his views from players may also be one of the reasons he's being negative in the first place, because it generates clicks. That would actually be hilarious tbh, that he has to move to a different game because his views dried up after he himself kept bashing the game for views. I'm not saying that actually happened.

The way I see it right now the only things that swgoh have going for it in regards to player retention are:

    1. Star Wars brand
    2. Awesome original game design, mechanics and artwork
    3. Time/money sunk

If it wasn’t for those things, this game would have already been done

In fairness, the biggest knock against this game when it comes to player retention is that it's almost 4 years old. Mobile games, on the whole, have short lifespans (Yes, yes, yes--but for every Clash of Clans there are a dozen Greekopolises or whatever, games that lasted a couple months and collapsed). Even good ones don't last 4 years at the rate Galaxy of Heroes has.

The simple fact is that most players only play a game for a little while then move onto something else, that's normal and healthy. It's to the credit of CG and the massive appeal of the Star Wars franchise that this game has had the retention it has.

Guys like Mobilegamer or Ahnold or whoever all else have been making videos this entire time and are getting burnt out. But every month there are more new players that keep the game chugging along. It's only natural that long-time players die out and new players come to replace us.

Anyway, all of this is to say that ZAP is correct that those three things are fueling the retention GoH has. But it's also natural for people to simply stop playing a game and move onto something else after enough time. In my own opinion, your burnout rate is directly proportionate to your care factor. I play every day and do al the activities, I usually unlock stuff on the first go around and then finish on the second (Except for Darth Revan... Sigh... I was a zeta away. Oh well, next time.) but I consider myself a casual player because I'm not hardcore worried about where I finish in arena nor did I even start getting Traya shards until about a month ago.

    Care less, enjoy more.

Lol devs congratulating themselves in third person.

Truth is you cannot say wow it went 4 years devs are awesome whe it could have went 8 years of solid profit but tanked becuse the are stooges the whole lot.... DUCY ????

629/85? That's some weak hoarding right there. I'm over 1004/85 on IG-86 now. Step up your game, man.

I'm starting with Ahsoka. So far 97/85 I think. Might've promoted her. Hope not
