Mod Calibration disappointing

80% bad rolls 20% very good ones for me

I find this hard to believe, unless you've only done a few and gotten unlucky.

I've had a few get worse stats, most have been better even if not what I was looking for.

Mod calibration is free and unnecessary at this point. Use it and enjoy the times it helps and don’t care about the times it doesn’t. Mods you are likely calibrating are beyond good enough in pve modes and unlikely to make a bit of difference in pvp because of datacrons.

Your parallel is debatable: mods always had rng, gear never had rng.

Unnecessary, I guess if you don't care about your mods.

I stand by statement. Mods are almost pointless in the dc era in pvp. Do I still work them? of course I do. It’ll change when dodge goes away but right now dodge % is far more determinative than mods.

I'm never disappointed in what I get because I'm doing the exact same things as before so I'm out nothing. I've been very happy a handful of times when I rolled better stats for no extra effort on my part

I feel like I'm landing speed much more then 25% of the time so I'm happy. I also have nothing to back this statement up so I'll probably be complaining on the forum when I get 3 defense rolls in a row.

You are likely discussing the most expensive gamble in the game. There is nothing that will have more confirmation bias than this. Imagine all the screams about "working as intended" if omicrons had only a 25% chance to put it on the character you wanted, 75 % on other toons you didn't pick; even worse there could be by-lines in the kit that may not be present sometimes.
