I'm not upset, it's interesting to read your opinion. However, the issue is that if you add more content, I'm obliged to work for it. Either, the new content is something I need so that I don't fall behind or it's going to be something that my guild will put pressure on me to obtain. So, you asking for new content does affect me. I'm required to keep up with the Joneses.

Aren't all Gacha games set up this way? I can't think of a Gacha game that I have tried where battles aren't reliant on energy (and you purchasing more energy).

I understand your point, and to a degree I have some empathy. However, my point as someone with experience playing this game, is your point of view will change. You talk about players asking for more content, but I see them as player without experience. Those that have been playing for a long time are complaining about the opposite. "You're asking us to do too much". Last year the biggest guilds in the game stopped doing Territory Wars. The reason was because their members were expected to do too much, and as Krakens, they didn't really care for the rewards anyway. I think CG noted this, but....they're still making raids just as grindy.

This is the issue. You see it as 'something extra I can do, if I feel like it'. I see it as 'There's extra content that I have to grind now. Or I lose pace with my GAC rivals and my guild becomes very unhappy with me'. You're not understanding the issue. If they gave you personally a lot more stuff to do, that's great! I'm happy for you. If they add new content, that's not structured just 'so there's more stuff to do', then I might not be so positive. Don't get me wrong, I'll enjoy new content when it drops. I'm excited to see new things in the game. However, you did use the word 'grind'. So, if it means that's another thing that I have to grind...... I'm sorry.....I just can't keep up with it, especially with certain periods.
Now, if they said "Hey, we're going to give you lots of new Assault Battles" I'd be so down for that. Fantastic! However, the rewards for such things are too good. There is a limit on stuff they will give us for free. We need to be practical about it. And at the end of the day, this game (although it's changed a bit recently) is very accessible for F2P players. Let's not forget that.

Now, this to me shows that you're fairly new and a little naive. Releasing new characters just like that is like the kid asking for a Tour de France bike or a pony for Christmas. It's just not possible.
Firstly, in the past releases have been a little 'sketchy' and 'bus like'. Nothing for a period then a few at once. So, they now have come up with the Era cycles. Eras have a distinct theme (pirates right now) with scheduled and transparent releases. Asking for a list of characters, just isn't going to happen. I'm sure they have eras in the future already planned out.
Secondly, I'm not sure what and when they're allowed to release stuff. I believe there are licences involved. Disney do not give CG 'carte blanche' to release whatever they want, when they want. It's an extremely lucrative IP that is strictly controlled. That said, CG have been given quite a bit of rope in the past.
Thirdly, finances are a big part of releases. I don't know the relationship between EA and Disney. However, I believe new characters cost money. There's also the money to develop them. Programmers, artists, 3D artists, kit designers, PR people. They need to balance the money coming in for new characters with the money going out. New characters are lucrative........as long as they release the right ones (yes, yes I know they released pirates!) at the right time. Too many new characters and we will spend less money on them. They need to balance releases with the want for new characters.
So, producing a big long list of new characters for them.....just isn't going to happen. That said, they could tell us about a new era they're planning and ask us what characters we would like to see. The problem there is feedback from sites like this isn't always the best. "What new pirate character would you like to see?" "Hey, when are you going to fix the GLAT bug instead of releasing new stuff?"
I hope this helps you to understand why you're getting the 'pat on the head and "There's a good lad, now here's a lolly. Why don't you go and play on that trampoline of yours" treatment'.
That all said, I think there is stuff they could release for us, without it adding to our grind. I'd like to see them release a guild sandbox Arena thing. Something like: Everybody in the guild puts up to 30 teams on defence. You then have every character on offence that you can use vs another person in the guild once. You have one month to play the battles vs the other players in your guild. For every victory, you get a good amount of credits.....say 200k. Plus credits (and only credits) for an overall monthly ranking. Obtaining credits won't add to the grind. E.g. your guild won't require you to do this, and not doing it won't mean you lose ground on your rivals. However, I'm so short on credits, it would help me a lot and.....I enjoy PvP a lot AND!!.....with a month to do it, I can do battles in my downtime periods (well away from Conquest and ROTE).
Anyway, in conclusion..........................please for the love of Yoda.........don't add to my grind (wipes away a little mousey tear caused by 'grind stress').
