New Capital Ships - Raddus / Finalizer (which non-capital ships?)

The two new capital ships announced are FO and Resistance based. We have 4 FO ships to complement (Tie Silencer, FO Tie, SF FO Tie, Command) and 3 Resistance ships (Resistance Pilot, Rey Falcon and Poe X WIng).

Given that each capital ship has seven ships to complement, do you expect any new non-capital FO and Resistance Ships, or will we just use existing ships outside of those factions? Seems like maybe one or two new ones, but not an additional 5 or so, which would be needed to round out.

  • Holdo's ship was the Supremecy. The Raddus was commanded by Raddus himself. A spicy calamari (Ha!!!). I'm guessing General Leia or something like that. It better not be Holdo since it wasn't her ship and well she didn't have a huge role exactly in the new movie......... That being said Feb isn't a long enough runway to intro a new commander I'd think. At least not marquee style.

Count on FO ships at 7* so get that SF Tie Fighter up if you haven't and resistance ships, but that's only 3 and 4 ships respectively and it would be a stretch having two Kylo ships if you're trying to keep cannon. I'd say then that they'd release 2 more ships for each group, but that is pretty short order again to have a marquee then have the proper roll out cadence in time for Feb. So maybe FO and SIth, but not sure who they'd pair with Resistance for the unlock.
  • Holdo ship was MC85 Star Cruiser called Raddus in honor of admiral Raddus.

Admiral Raddus commanded MC75 Star Cruiser called Profundity.

Nope. Raddus died at Scarif, the ship is just named after him. Supremacy is the name of Snoke's ship. https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Raddus_(MC85_Star_Cruiser)

When the Supremacy started to target the lifeboats, Holdo turned the Raddus around and rammed the Mega-class Star Dreadnought at lightspeed, destroying itself and inflicting serious damage to the Supremacy, along with destroying twenty of the escorting Resurgent-class Star Destroyers in the process.
  • As I was. Improper googling from me. I googled Holdo's capital ship and the blurb that came up mentioned the Supremacy and I should have actually read further.

Well that stinks. I'm tired of having to level, gear and star worthless toons. At least Hux has value. Blarg. Veteran Han and Chewie all over again.

Maybe the Resistance bomber from “The Last Jedi”?

Unique: sitting duck- just sits there and dies because it's too slow to do anything

That ship was so incredibly slow and only dropped bombs out of the bottom...the idea it would get above a Capitol ship to drop those bombs is ludicrous...strategically speaking its only purpose would be to bomb cities and other planetary installations. Which begs the question why the resistance has those kinds of bombers especially when B wings are more maneuverable.
  • I feel like Ackbar in the day had some use. It has been a long while, but I recall having him. He also serves a purpose or at least used to in Haat. I guess newer players starting now would have a different opinion. Beleive it or not I've even gotten some use out of Tarkin. I think that the old mod challenges had an Empire only stage. Else I definitetly have used him elsewhere. Mace on the other hand I agree. Completely useless. Even back then. That being said relative to the time of release at least 2 of the capital ship captains were contemporary. Plus of course Thrall and especially the newest ones. With Holdo it's a waste. I'm also working on Rose as I'm sure that's another turd that will need polishing in order to unlock something meta.

I think you will be pleasantly surprised at how good of a tank Holdo is on a Resistance team. Much like the vets, the only reason everyone says she's "bad" is because they don't gear her up and mod her like they do their "good" characters. If you do that she's actually pretty strong.
