- MasterSeedy7 years agoSeasoned AceI've said it elsewhere, but since this is a thread specifically devoted to this topic, I'll say it here as well: this drop rate is unacceptable.
If you need to make sure we don't upgrade mods too quickly, multiple the drop rate by 10 and multiple the number of materials required by 10. Making the drop rate so slow that progress does not happen is bad for players and bad for the game, and allows the lucky few who get multiple materials in a single sim to gain a huge advantage over other players by virtue of an action over which those other players can't have any influence and which is not the result of smarter player strategy.
I can't believe you've made the drop rates this low. Trash this update and come up with something better.
This. Is. Unacceptable. - Its the same as was with ship reinforcements from cantina. Just wait until these are available elsewhere and dont stress about it. Would be nice to be able to pre-load up on the parts, but if CG dont want to give, they dont give, been like this forever.

Still weird to make this "special drops event" though. Just like the Bariss Cantina node that yielded reinforcement materials, I did 1 cantina refresh, no drops, no more refresh for this. If they expected us to spend crystals on hard notes to get that little amount of mod slicing materials they really think we're idiots. If they didn't want to give any then they should just not make any event.
My personal opinion on this is that they want whales to spend heaps to get just a little bit ahead of everyone, therefore making them waste their money on this instead of anything else. Any other reason would be quite surprising.- Did 5 sims of LS 9A (Sion's node), got 1 control chip and 2 bonding pins.
- So I'll ignore this update, as per usual, and just continue to farm things I actually want.
- FireyRei7 years agoSeasoned HotshotThe game without bonus drops is incredibly slow to farm shards for many characters like Shoretrooper, Mother Talzin etc. Even with bonus drops there is no guarantee of a higher drop rate. This bonus event is literally nothing: without the bonus, we should expect an even less chance than 0?!
- It’s just not the mod slice drops for me, I did 4 energy refreshes to do the last characters I need and didn’t get a single shard out of 600 energy used
- hardly a bonus then. seems drop rate on shards has also been affected.

Dude, the drop rates have always been absolutely awful. Some are lucky and get them quicker, but others like you, me can take a month of daily investment to get one character of over a hundred different characters available from simply 5* to 6*. Then to get that one character of over a hundred available from 6* to 7*, two months plus. Now start again on one other character... It would take years to level up all the currently available characters, but then they keep adding newer ones faster than ever... If you don't pay thousands, as hundreds won't do much, you will forever be way behind the top dogs.
