I have, and it’s called territory battles. I don’t care if they add reinforcement bonuses or some other , 3v3 is a drag and just serves to make people play ships. I have to say, in my 2+ years of experience with this game I’ve never seen anything handled worse than ships. CG adds it and is like “play this new thing.” Some, including myself, like and enjoy these battles, but most think they’re boring. Who wouldn’t? There are very few ships, fewer that are actually good, and itching to use them on ( the same goes for capital ships). The only thing really drawing players in as the strategy and nostalgia around it. I felt that way at one point, in a time before thrawn and the reaper. Now ships is a little stagnant, but just give us more stuff to do with the ships we have (and add new ships) to spice up the content a little. Or you could wait over a year before you make any significant additions (besides a few ships) to ships. And the additions are a complete overhaul of the whole game mode (3v3) rather than rationally adding what the player base actually asked for (just some more viable ships dummies, and some more places to use them). When I say this is the worst way to handle anything in the entire game, I mean it. Even Darth “I counter every team in existence” Traya is a better idea than this garbage. Both are going to be terrible for the health of the game, but 3v3 is a much worse and unwarranted solution to an easy fix."PremierVenoth;c-1533034" wrote:

+1- I agree. I G12ed so many crew and now they will be sitting there doing nothing in my inventory. -.- I worked hard to get 1st every night and now that goes in the trash.

This is quite possibly the worst presumption ever about 2.0. TB is limited to your Light/Dark side ships taking on their Dark/Light counterparts, no variations, in a wave system rather than in a showdown.
There is no way that what you see in TB is a precursor to anything 2.0 has to offer.- Posting here because I like the current dinamics of the battles, I only want the new table

in normal arena you only have to gear 5 toons and that´s it, in fleet arena you also must invest in the ships, in the fleetadmiral, cap ship, and in your reinforcements... and all this for only 20 crystalranks... we had really much to do an it was hard work for us, so don´t change 5v5 to 3v3

I'd put my bets in for this!
All we asked for was more content, not a complete redesign :D Why not give us the more ships, more capital ships and the pve table, and leave everything else as is <3
Because everything else as-is is bad. The existing ships need a redesign to go along with all these changes. Millennium Falcon is a bad ship. It's too slow to take turns, takes too many turns to set up, and is exceedinly fragile. Biggs is a badly designed ship. It has too much protection, heals too much when it taunts, taunts too easily, and its whole kit is entirely independent of your squad makeup. All Rebels or all Geonosians, Biggs is the same.
Ships need team-stamped effects to prevent the same cookie-cutter teams. The capital ships are every bit as bad--there isn't one of them where the effect is strong enough to really encourage you to bring a fleet of their faction.
The lack of incentives to go outside the current meta is the reason there's no diversity. More ships won't solve that unless they're more powerful than the ships we have now, in which case we're just substituting one shape of cookie-cutter for another.
The change from a starting 5 to a starting 3 means you have to carefully consider your starting lineup. You won't have five ships supporting one another and focus firing a single target, you'll have three plus your reinforcement. You'll be making real decisions from the start instead of waiting until your first ship is destroyed--by which time you've already either won or lost the fight because of how fleets snowball, rendering whatever decision you make irrelevant.- How can you prefer one way over the other when we haven't tried the new way yet?
