So you could have a 3* Ship that has all 8 levels as long as its up at L85.

Just pointing out that the whole "takes a long time to star them" argument doesn't really make sense since I think its just leveling them that matters.

But maybe I'm mistaken.

Starts at 5* I think. Level 6 abilities can be upgraded then. Level 7 at 6*, level 8 at 7*.

The crew ability isn't star locked, that's depending on their gear.
