- Datacrons are still not fun, not "engaging" with them, and for my 7.2 million GP acct I feel that any kind of weighted rolls or gamble packs (of any kind) are predatory and horribly designed for fools to parted with their money.
I am no fool.. - Whatelse733 years agoSeasoned AceThe entirety of the datacron system is garbage, not just the RNG factor in getting specific abilities. Some decision maker at CG decided this would be a good thing to increase revenue. That same person doesn't play swgoh, nor engage with the community as other employees are paid to deal with the wrath and aggravation of players.
At the least, there are other parts of the game like Jabba's less crazy requirements, the new mod system, and other road ahead info that seem worthwhile.
Datacrons are the "extreme" phase of SWGOH. Extreme garbage, extreme Meta abilities, extreme revenue chasing, extreme RNG factors, etc etc. - ne_alenska3 years agoRising NewcomerCG never told you that's a 1/6 chance you can get the good mechanics.
Like 5/330 shards, good mods, bad mods, those are the same.
We all pay a lot and only got some garbage...well, It's fair. - I don't pay
- ccmoose3 years agoSeasoned AceI know, right? I get the outrage. I don't get how it was delayed until DC Set 4 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
- ccmoose3 years agoSeasoned AceThere was actually an ad during Sunday Night Football's TV broadcast for a sports gambling site/app/thing where your first bet is "risk free". O.o
Sidetrack, I know. But the pattern is so common among addiction-reliant business models. - NotRealUltra3 years agoLegend

not all datacron abilities are weighted equally
Which sounds incredibly shady
not really - It's not cheating, it's gambling, easy as that.
Eventually legislature will catch up with this, but until then you'll have to endure.
Alternatively you could speak to your credit credit card provider, if they see this similarly. If enough people complain, they might start flagging this stuff as gambling without waiting for legislators. At that point, it will stop immediately. - ccmoose3 years agoSeasoned AceI don't think it's "shady." CG said the odds weren't even among all rolls. And you can see all the options that you might get. And anyone who has been active in the gaming world over the past decade should know that they aren't skewed in our favor.
I do, however, think it's a bit scummy that we don't know what those odds are and the gaps between the best and worst abilities is such that many of them just aren't worth having at all. Never feels good to spend resources and feel like you got nothing useful out of it. Guess who rolled TFP on their first set 4 DC! "Ragnarok_COTF;c-2381692" wrote:

I have three DC.
First rolled TFP and I have no reroll mats since they were completely removed from conquest.
Second rolled LS. Rerolled to....LS.
Third rolled LS. Rerolled to...LS.
