Remove the Shards Bottlenecks
My single biggest frustration about this game is that every aspect of it is bottlenecked. Look I get progression, the grind, choices etc.. but in a game like this every aspect does not need to be limited and shards seem the worst possible idea in limits. The game is based off the Star Wars universe, playing off peoples love of the world created by it and the characters within it, the main enjoyment I and may others get from a game like this is to collect and unlock our favorite characters (regardless of how good they are). I frankly don't want to spend months farming RG or Tie Fighter Pilot, they aren't the reason I started playing this game. I never thought "if only there was a game where I could play as a generic tie fighter pilot in a non-space arena setting", I want to play with Han Solo, Chewie, Yoda, Vader etc... yet every character is blocked behind arbitrary bottlenecks.
Allow us to farm whomever we want and make it consistently accessible to everyone, no more releasing toons only through Tournaments or pay packs but through themed event battles or spread among the various shipments (like Guild shop which has been forgotten) instead of piling everything into cantina and tournaments. People should be encouraged to diversify their rosters, to collect their favorites, to build their dream teams, to have the heroes they always wanted to have not sit around with a bunch of generic extra's watching all the new cool heroes go to a fraction of the base simply because reasons...
As long as gear, credits, ability mats, training droids, and mods are all gated would it really hurt to let people farm heroes freely? You still wouldn't be able to meta hop every week or month without farming and grinding the gear, mats, creds, mods etc... to make them arena viable anyway so the overall power progression wouldn't change drastically. If you spend your gear and credits in the wrong teams or toons your are still hurt, and if you plan and ration your resources properly you are still rewarded, but at least people would have the opportunity to play with whomever they wanted or at the very least have their favorite heroes on their rosters (regardless of the use they might get).
Right now it seems fairly pointless that everything has to be bottle necked, the games progression is already gated numerous ways unlocking characters should not be one
