There are a lot of people not content with the "win / lose 50 / 50 " aspect of this skill system. They feel it isn't much fun to do more with less against other players that have more but suck.
My current opponent has 1 million GP on me, 3 GLs to my 1, executor to my none. It wasn't easy but I had to have a perfect match against him to full clear, which I did. It took me an hour at least to think through all the battles and teams offensively to be able to full clear, and granted, he couldn't clear me cause he sucks; but it feels like what I had to climb to win was significantly harder than his. I liked the old matchmaking system better. Where how good you are for your GP was the comparison.
I will say though, I don't hate the current system.
