Greed, pure and simple- you are effectively looking to double your profits
Get rid of the new paid track and revert the GCs to how they were.
To the decision makers and the community team - you’re weak, you’re out of control and you’re an embarrassment to yourself and everyone around you.
The least you could do is respond to the feedback, either own up and make some changes or double down on your greed and ruin the game for a lot of people.

can't say that I disagree. I've really started to dislike this game alot lately. theyve consistently made worse choices after bad choices and then won't respond to any criticisms. guess it's easier to pretend everybody's happy with the game as it is. at this moment I'm not sure what if any part this game will play in my future. for the first time since I started playing I'm legitimately thinking about quitting bc it's all CashGrab all the time now.

First, let me just say this update was very poorly communicated and horribly mismanaged.
Now, I’m just curious, does anyone here realize there’s a store that uses the new episode currency from the free pass in which you can buy literally everything from the old GC rewards pool (yes omicrons too!)? Except rather than you get what you get, you can actually pick what you want?
this update moves rewards from the end of GC into a store/onto the free pass. Once we get past this initial phase (like in a week or 2) people are going to start having an excess of currency to spend on whatever they want. I used crystals to get huyang shards and it’s only gonna give me like an extra 2-3k episode points over someone who didn’t buy shards. for those worried about omicrons, there are 3 in the shop and 1 that should hit on your episode pass after completing the 2nd weekly GC. Which, by the way, means you’ll be getting your omicrons SOONER than you would have by waiting for GC rewards to hit.
and yes. Spending money on a pass should speed up your progress and/or make it easier to progress in the pass. That’s how these games work and I see zero problem with it.
I've got a 12900k/3090ti rig I use for gaming and work. Since starting SWGOH shortly after beta I've dropped $2k in to the game, about a quarter of what I spent on my rig. In what world is a mobile game deserving of that much money to then demand more through egregious tactics?
I'm far from a big spender, but that's 20x AAA titles, or a GPU upgrade I could have bought instead of playing this God forsaken mobile game. I've never been closer to turning my back on a 12m GP account, and I wonder if that's EA's ploy so when they shutter this game there's less drama to deal with because the majority of the player base have already decided to quit.
