Sith raid stacking tenacity

The darkness in which all life dies gives nihilus 50% tenacity every time he is hit.

The question is does it cap out at 100% or does it keep stacking above that? If it keeps stacking(i.e. to 200%, 300%, etc.), how exactly does the tenacity work? Is it a % increase of a base chance(i.e. I heard there is a base 15% chance to resist so 100% would be 30% chance to resist, etc), or something else?
  • I think it's additive stacking but I could be wrong. E.g. 15% --> 65% -->115% etc.
  • Keeps stacking towards infinite.

    I think my whole information of tenacity v potency is outdated, so I won't waste time on that, but for sure there's always a 15% minimum chance to resist after whatever potency or proc checks. (unless the move is unresistable.)

    pretty sure it goes past 100%(not hard to get potency past that), and I think it's additive, so if he's got 15% tenacity (think he's got more tho) he'll jump to 65, 115, so on

    I appreciate the response but it's not very helpful. The in game description of tenacity just says "increases the chance to ward off detrimental effects".

    If we assume that the tenacity effect is just a flat avoidance percentage, what kind of sense does anything over 100% chance to ward off effects make?

    If we take it as it is a % scaling of the existing chance (which the description could also read that way) then that is very different...

    Either way stacking tenacity is absolutely additive, the only question is how the tenacity % affects the chance to ward off the detrimental effects and whether it is capped... That is what I am trying to figure out.

    Tenacity increases chance to resist
    Potency increases chance to apply
    The 2 numbers are combined to calculate chance for defender to resist a debuff
    chance to resist = (tenacity - potency). Chance to resist can't come less than 15%.
    Tenacity up is 999900% tenacity so no reason boss can't stack up to numbers like that.

    Awesome, thank you scuba... Question: where did you get the figure for tenacity up?
  • That figure is from the mechanics description in swgoh.gg if I'm not mistaken ,

    Tenacity down is the same just negative, -
