Smuggler Tag

Ir makes sense for the Phoenix crew to get a smuggler tag, even their ships are cargo ships. But I guess they dont have it because of balance reasons. Everyone and their mother has them at 7 stars, it would probably make the new smuggler event too easy

Yeah, if all the characters had their correct tags it would possibly break the game. As much as they (lie) and say that its about lore and such, its much more to do with game balance. Imagine how easy all smuggler content would be if all of us could use our seven starred and geared phoenix for everything. They wouldn't make any money that way.

See, the balance argument doesn't work here since there is ZERO SYNERGY with this tag amongst these toons. Giving someone a smuggler tag won't break the balance. If there was a unique or a leader ability that would work with smuggler tags, or a toon that gets bonus abilities against smugglers, I could see the balance argument.

The only scoundrel that needs Smuggler tag is ST Han - at that point of the movie, he was still in it for just the money (the Rebel tag is the one that’s unjustified tbh). Captain Han wasn’t a smuggler anymore. Ep5 Lando wasn’t a smuggler either. The Phoenix should get the tag, but that wasn’t their primary occupation, so it’s OK to not give it to them to force us to farm Solo toons.

You think they base the tags off lore? They base the tags off money. Lore is secondary, almost an afterthought.

Disagree. The community spoke loud about the Hound Tooth and it received the cargo tag as a result. I'm not asking for game changers. I'm asking for appropriate tags for a charecters who deserve it

I'm talking bigger picture... There are dozens of examples of toons who should have a particular tag, but it just can't be. I'd mention one or two but I don't want to derail this thread. But it's a fact that not all toons will get the tags they should have, and you may as well just deal with it.

Meh. If they gave them all the smuggler tag then they’d really just be “non-bounty Hunter scoundrels”. I think the point is to reward those who farmed solo toons, without forcing you to farm 5 of them (2 is way easier to swallow). Also, don’t be surprised if the new legendary is chewie, requiring 5 smugglers...

balance argument works - make money vs. make fun

Money.

Phoenix fly cargo ships (although phantom is about as big as a tie fighter, so that also doesn't make sense), and half the show is about stealing stuff to take it somewhere else, running an empire blockade, etc. But they are not smugglers. Same for STHan, who had to get tricked into rescuing a princess with promises of a big reward: he was clearly still a smuggler in his mind. Meanwhile the new guys are, despite not actually smuggling anything? They are thieves and bandits.

I love that there's a new event coming out, just like every other event pretty much it has its restrictions, they've even expanded the toons you can use, including some killers like best, and you still all find a way to just complain. Spoilt. Your parents failed to teach you to appreciate anything.
This is a game. Games require balance. Why no phoenix? Probably because they'd be too good in the event with all their overlapping uniques. Maybe they don't all have the right tags because it's cause massive imbalances in the game. Maybe it's because of money. Even if it is, CG aren't a charity. They do this for the money. If they don't make any, we don't have a game to play. Grow up and stop complaining about every little thing. "Ooh they gave me a free thing but it was 7* g12 so I'm going to complain". You sound pathetic and I see a lot more of the community growing tired of your complaints. Honestly it's no surprise that crumb and Carrie don't post more.
