I'm not sure if TopHat is a developer but even if he is, one developer doing a podcast doesn't mean no one else is still working on bug fixes
They have time to podcast but no time to fix anything
If its a silly bug and you cant fix it
Then why are you even employed?
Didn’t the developers peace out and say Monday they would look into it?
Unfortunately this game runs on the weekend too. As with most companies, if there’s an issue on the weekends, they need to say “back to work till this is fixed”. Plenty of private sector businesses make their employees work overtime on the weekends for massive screw ups
I agree. I know if it were me, I wouldn't leave the office because I wouldn't want to until things were made right.
However, we don't really know what is going on. Maybe they've been working 16 hr days all week. Maybe there are a few ppl working over the weekend that we don't know about. Maybe a lot of them are doing work related things from home. Maybe there are a lot of needed resources that aren't available over the weekend so it's not efficient to be at the office.
Just too many possibilities we don't know about. Maybe if they communicated what they are doing, it would be easier to understand.
I honestly wish I could believe that. But in the past, for awhile now, if something has gotten messed up over the weekend, we wait until Monday to even hear anything about it.
There’s no easy solution to this (well one that they want to admit anyhow), but given their track record I just can’t believe they’re working that hard to fix this.
In business and politics it's been long-standing protocol to drop bad news on a Friday knowing the public will forget about over the weekend, and the effects will be lessened.
I can't help but think they might be foolish enough to be applying that principle here. Being this a game, and the average person doesn't work on the weekends and is instead playing games, that would be a very poor idea imo."BobcatSkywalker;c-1993638" wrote:
They are ruining the most fun mode GAC,
SOUNDS GREAT. Everyone just loves ships.
I’m glad it ruins your fun because now I can actually punish those “i hate ships” players"John_Matrix1985;c-1993875" wrote:

Me neither because I knew Malevolence was coming. All my guild got the Negotiator, I guess I will be the only one getting GG's ship"Monel;c-1994218" wrote:

Yea I mean, why would a shop put in a little overtime to fix a bug that’s been recurring for weeks now, and hooked to people deciding if and when they spend actual cash.
Forget that noise, it’s the weekend time to party lol
Bugs happen all the time, even a developer has its limits on how much they can pump energy into the same problem and try again the next working day
Criticize CG all you want, but all the big tech companies also follow the same standard:

Continue venting out in the mega thread, or somewhere else
Where in that article does it say that they were not working on the bug around the clock? Apple has multiple dev teams and sub teams that work constantly on each vertical. Some bugs take a while to fix, especially that sort of bug. This is nowhere near as complicated."Ultra;c-1994193" wrote:

So the Malak event was messed up *again* but CG didn't think to have anyone covering the game over the weekend, despite the very recent debacle of the same event?
Can't CG even get an in-game message out?- So. New content. Sounds interesting.
