calling it an ignorant approach is ignorant, it obviously works. I have more faith in EA to let their business flourish than in some random guy on a forum who thinks he'd do a better job."Link2440;87965" wrote:

Do you seriously think EA doesn't know this? I mean..come on man.
that said, i'm f2p for various reasons. Mainly because it's not that much more fun if i spend money compared to playing for free. Also because you can never stop spending in most freemium games, it's too expensive to whale and now i have to oppertunity to stop at any time without having buyers remorse or some weird feeling that I need to continue because i dropped 500 dollars on the game.
I actually do think that they have a bad model and it's not just them. I mean, Im not going to give them the solution for free... but they certainly have a few different options that would allow them to maximize cash flowing in and keeping everyone happy. There is no one in the world that wouldn't pay for something that they enjoy doing... yet they continue to have lots of F2P players... Like I said.. they are missing out :)
like i said, i have more faith in a company like EA to maximize their profits than some random guy on a forum. Saying they're missing out because there are lots of f2p players is a good indication that you probably have no clue what you're talking about.
