Remember mods still fairly new, and we still don't have 6 and 7 rank mods. The longer mods exist, the more the population will have high speed secondaries. Just like with almost anything in this game, "whales" only get a head start. They get omegas faster at first cause they got to lvl 80 first. But now that many are at 80, we are all on the 1 omega a day. So, my point is, that this will be short lived (assuming most dolphins guilds can drop the highest tier droid raid).
So, rather than try and blow up mods AGAIN, work on getting yours and watch things even out over time. This game is so f2p/dolphin friendly it isn't funny. Every advantage whales get are short lived..
Why can't you understand that i am not talking about whale advantages here but simply the fact that with all the op wedges and droids, speed is king and because of that, it's a battle of who has the highest speed as a secondary stat on mods? It's a question of balance and every other stat pales in comparison to speed. Who wins in a droid vs droid with je confrontation? Or at least who has the highest chance to win? The speediest team. This wouldn't have been the case if the 'meta' would still be single target attackers.
So rather than present people an opportunity to separate themselves from the opponent (having more speed), you want speed to be equal so it's a coin toss every time? Poe 2.0? If they are going to have a speed stat, people will be slower and others faster. You can't fix that unless you remove the speed stat completely.
The ability to modify speeds is so much more than just "who goes first." It allows JE based Droid teams to determine which character goes first after JE. It allows you to get Lando to follow after AA when he uses his TG. If you want speed for the positive aspects you have to accept the negatives. If you don't want speed at all then this game will be so much more boring.
Doesn't matter who goes first after JE if my JE goes first anyway before yours. Speed is fine as a set bonus or on the arrow mod. Speed isn't fine on a secondary mod. They nerfed QGJ into the ground because ohmagosh he went first. Now we have entire aoe teams that go before the opponent and that is somehow fine. The only way this could be mitigated is if they double fortitude again.
Also, when did they nerf QGJ into the ground? He is still fantastic last time I used him...
He had one of the biggest damage reductions right after fortitude was introduced, on the grounds that he went first if i remember correctly and i do. Doubling fortitude will make you last more in arena, so the speed wouldn't matter as much with the AI attacking random targets. But now, if your QGJ modded with 3 fortitude mods, gets somewhat focused by a droid team, he dies before he can act. Not even talking about Rey here, or other frail characters.

Yea we are. My guess is that you are so invested in these speed mods, you have no chance but to defend them and you are looking for alternative reasons to throw the blame. If you would take a step back and have an objective look at where this game is heading, you will reach the same conclusion as me and others. But i can't blame you really...i would do the same thing if i were in your shoes.
Guess again, I have 1, 21 speed mod and that's it, all the rest is +10ish (which is easily found on green /blue mods)
And news flash, I don't even use the +21 on my taunts . U could nerf it to 0 and I couldn't care less...
Any one in my arena shard can testify to that...
So stop assuming things you don't have a clue...
What better example than the max JE team from @LastJedi not being used do you need...
Droids are good but their damage is not close to rebels/Anakin at all... That's why
even if they are the fastest team of all they are not the best
