I definitely like the idea of having to complete various tasks that are randomized each day, and require all sorts of different goals for success. (Win a PvP with Palpatine, defeat X Jedi in GW, etc).
However, is it not possible to make this more akin to Yoda/K2/Palpatine in that it can be accessed at a fairly early level but the rewards aren't that great?
If the tasks grant rep points that unlock various nodes(along with some standard rewards) then the easy thing to do is set each unlock at a decently high rep requirement so that even a lower level player could get there over time. But would likely increase in both level and overall power by the time they reach their first unlock.
Ie, if it takes 1m rep points to unlock the first node, say level 40 take only grant 1k rep per task. At 3 tasks a day, it will still take some serious time to get to 1m. Of course they will likely hit level 50 and thus can earn 5k rep each task.
Also, I like the idea of rep being used as a separate currency ala fleet or arena tokens. Because that forces you to choose.
Do I spent 100k rep points for 10 Vader shards(example) or do I save them, and unlock a node, where I could get much better rewards, but risk loosing rep as well. And of course the nodes would be a lot harder.
