Time to "movie farm"
I think with first order tie pilot coming as login toon, we need to be ready for movie release content coming soon. Highly likely we will need resistance and first order teams at full 7* for new toons...

It was intended to be hyperbole, but was instead irrelevant. There is a pattern of past events making it highly likely that some combination of FO, Res, or Veteran Smugglers will be required at 5-7*. Nobody can say definitively, but it fits the pattern of many, many past events.
No event has ever required a ship to unlock a character, and no legendary/heroic character has ever allowed an unlock using any toons under the star level of the character being unlocked. So saying that we shouldn't be surprised needing a 4* ship for a 7* character (totally unprecedented) is the same as needing a full team of the characters from their movie, faction, or opposing faction (how every event ever has worked) is nonsense. A change that radical to events would take people by surprise, and justifiably so. It could happen. But you're drawing a false equivalence.
And saying that a 6.5 month farm that's been available to farm for 1 month is the same as a 2.2 month farm that has been available for 2 years is also nonsense.
I agree it's comparing Apples and spaceships.
So far off from being the same thing they shouldn't be used in same sentence.
Only one event has ever required 7* to unlock( cls) .
No event has ever required a pay to play toon or ship.
There was not a lot of time for Phoenix for thrawn but only needed 5* to unlock.
5* to 7* is 185 shards.
Only 145 shards needed to 5*
Bb8 harder to farm than r2
Resistance harder to farm than lea,sth,old ben, farm boy luke.
If Rey requires finn,bb8,and vets it would be more than twice as hard as ant toon has ever been in the game to UNLOCK.
