So let me get this straight - because it's never happened before means it can't happen in the future? Just like a 7* only unlock for CLS was completely and totally expected prior to it happening? Because of the precedent that was already there? Calling any supposition about what's required nonsense is itself nonsense unless you're the one making the rules.
If you read what I said then you would note where I said that what you were suggesting could happen. But it's a false equivalency to put all speculation on equal footing with a pattern that has been followed many times over a long period of time.
Nobody knows anything for certain. But I would give more credibility for instance to characters that interacted with Rey being required to get her than Tuskans being required. One fits the pattern. The other doesn't. And for the first time requiring a ship for a toon, or requiring anything at a lower star than the character you are unlocking are both against the patter that has been set.
That being said even the most insanely wild guess can be right, and the best educated guess with a body of evidence to support it can be wrong. But one prevails more often than the other. Your guess about a ship being needed is not completely without logic. It's not totally unfounded. But it's not most likely according to the pattern of evidence we have seen so far. I have no issue with suggesting that as an idea. But suggesting that any idea is of equal likelihood is silly. And suggesting that people shouldn't be surprised by something less probable happening is also silly.
Also you are in fact throwing shade at people right now. You were throwing shade at people who made smart choices, and pointed out others had the same opportunities. I will most definitely be sympathetic any time a harsh, unexpected requirement takes us by surprise in this game, or newer players see end game content they are VERY far away from, and can't reasonably expect to reach any time soon. But if a very long time player fails to meet a blatantly obvious requirement that they had years to prepare for, then that's on them. Don't blame the devs for that. That kind of whining drounds out actually constructive criticism that could make a positive change to the game.
