This. Exactly this. I built my FO team back in March/April specifically because I figured they'd get a character or legendary even come movie time.

This. Exactly this. I built my FO team back in March/April specifically because I figured they'd get a character or legendary even come movie time.

Totally, I had no fear when the BB* event came out - I just used the time to gear them up better, but that's all. And man, if you don't have a full res team, you really are missing out on easy street. NS put a major damper in me gearing up BB8 - but I feel I have all of November to do that.
But yeah - it probably won't matter since the Veteren Han/wookie are probably going to be needed... fish, guppies, and other lower forms need not apply.

Good for you and your guild? There are plenty of reasons a player over one year wouldn't have the full teams, but you choose to ridicule. This is just a simple discussion about what is likely needed now.

He's pointing out that if you're starting FOST now (or even in August), there's no way you'll be done in time anyways. Unless you're talking brushing up on gear a bit, there isn't time to "be ready" for movie content at this stage. You either started him months ago and will have him for BB8, or you won't. Same with the Falcon. I started hitting that node every day since it was added in case it's required for Rey's journey.

About all you can do is bank currency for the vet smugglers and hoping they don't go into fleet/guild or another RNG based shop (Hint: they will).

EA doubled crystal rewards. Most higher ranked arena players can easily farm them. They will be definitely required.

If you don’t rank high enough in arena to get get sufficient crystal rewards to farm them, not having the next CLS won’t matter anyways. It’s not like you all do well in arena as is.

I like how he thinks CLS is somehow limited to those in the top 5 of both fleet/arena. Not that some scrub "only" ranking #2 daily will get them in time.

At 80 crystals a shard, you'd need 42,400 crystals to max them (assuming you didn't buy the $19.99 pack). So, you know, ranking #1 in both fleet AND arena for over a month and only use your payouts for shards.

Pretty much this. If you weren't thinking about it until now then you missed the boat. There are some several month farms in there.

@Anavel_Gato I didn't ridicule anyone. I didn't call anyone names. I'm not sure what I did to set you off. I pointed out we had tons of time already, and it should have been blatantly obvious we would need these toons for something. Every movie has been used to introduce characters and content.

Are you salty you didn't farm them? Totally understandable if anyone is. Just don't blame that on the devs. Whatever events come from this movie are like the steamroller scene in Austin Powers. Not a sudden surprise. Not unforeseen.

Yes they increased crystal rewards, but I wouldn't spend them on characters. Horribly overpriced packs, and 80 crystals per shard shipment farming are a terrible waste of crystals for F2P players. If I had 10 times more crystals coming in it would all still go to gear, and I already rank highly in both arenas.

If the smugglers are needed, then I'll miss out on whatever requires them, and will accept whatever consequences come with that. I farmed my free FO/Res teams long ago. I'll get whatever that gets me. But I won't be 'forced' into throwing crystals down the toilet to panic farm whale bait toons when gear is still such a wall.
