Vets are basically guaranteed. So expect that.

I've already resigned myself to not being able to complete all the stages of the event the first go-around, so I'll do like I did with Luke--finish what I can, use the time between to prepare and get it done the second time around.

That said, I'm hoarding my cantina, galactic war, arena, and guild tokens until we find out what's needed. Better safe than sorry!

Don’t hoard your tokens just buy first order anyway, you will need them for bb8 event and possibly other stuff.

And somehow trying to cobble those and some pieces into a viable arena team.

For players that started around when I did (and that haven't been finishing in the top five in arena the entire time), some serious choices had to be made. I know, there's always a $olution to this particular problem, but each individual player's circumstance should be considered prior to making blanket statements about their preparedness or ability to plan.

the release cadence is 8 to 12 weeks from release to farmable. They were released 9/6/17, so they could be farmable as early as November 6th. Or as late as December 6th.

Guess what people, episode 9 is coming. There is also a Han Solo movie ready to roll. New characters will be released with these movies. I'm not 100% on who will be needed for the Solo movie (Scoundrels?), but, I will bet any amount that whatever new toons we get with episode 9, First Order and/or Resistance characters will be needed.
Yet, somebody will be on this forum raging about a lack of warning.

Stormtrooper has three nodes, Pilot has two and is in fleet shipments. 5/day of each (on average) is a reasonable expectation, which puts them on par with FOO. It takes two months without refreshes, which is honestly no time at all... Just start it and you’ll finish real fast.

I dont care. The whole point was everyone has been knowing that a new movie was coming and when it was going to happen for years. The game makers have been releasing new toons to coincide with movie releases since inception. I can already foresee that First Order and/or Resistance will be needed around December 2019. If anyone wants to shout "unfair" or "not enough warning", they need to shout it in a mirror. I'm not psychic, but, I know whats about to happen.
