Matching in GP, person to person is way different than matching guilds the way they do.
There are many factors that change the TW matching that wouldn't be present in a person to person match up.
How would it be different? The current system is based solely on snapshot GP of the teams present for play with a +/- parameter and they call it fair play.
We are all assuming the same code will be used to match up players. A player with a deep roster of ships and GS 11 toons at 2.5 mil GP could be matched against a similar 2.5 mil GP player who has no ship development, but tons of GS 12 well zeta’d teams.
From what they have explained TW matching involves looking at various things and assuming that is the cross section of the guild. That will not be the case when looking at a player individually. Seeing a guild being off by 10s of thousands of GP will not be the case, if they base matches on GP, we should expect those numbers to be very close.
