UI Changes Idea Thread

Something SWGOH always did well was giving a simple, good looking UI despite it being sometimes a rather complicated game. I have a few suggestions that I feel will make things alot easier and quicker:

Remove All Mods Button

I remember the simple yet useful button being added last fall called "clear squad" The same should be done with mods as in a "Remove All Mods" button.

Easier Training Droid Navigation

I think it would be really useful if we could tap a button and put in "increase character level to 70" and it auto-caculates the training droids needed and assigns them to the character.

Refresh Button On Guild Chat

You know how irritating it is to put in a period to refresh the unreliable chat? Very irritating. We should of had a refresh button from the start of guilds.

Switching Challenges

I think when you go to challenges, there should be a button that says "ship challenges" and it brings you to ship challenges. It's a but aggravating having to drag the screen a long ways just to get there.

Tell me what you like/don't like about these options.

  • I'd like to tag or label my mods... like colored flags or something

so when I switch mods around temporarily its easier to remember which mod belonged to which character
  • Man... So many great ideas that would make the game so much more user-friendly, in this thread.
+1 you pretty much all of you!
  • Finding allies for ls/ds battles can be difficult because you have to pick one before changing your team and you cant view characters already on your team. Maybe somebody has a better lando than me? Maybe someone has a zeta'd toon? But idk because mine is already on my team and i cant switch them out to see

  • I like the first two ideas mentioned, not totally necessary but still convenient
I would suggest a change to stacking buffs like DoT and HoT to have only one icon, tapping it would describe how many are present and how much health will be lost or gained per turn

Or just put a small number above the dot/hot to indicate how many are there.
  • One store for all, not a bunch of different places you have to check individually. Get rid of unnecessary button clicks, like when you farm the gear you need then need to hit back before create. I'd rather have a 100% drop rate and have to farm twice as many. Too much gear is shared. Gear Store. Be able to move gear around and take off one person for another, same with mods but way more simplified.

Hmm. Might work. However my fear is, that many users would misclick, when there is only one store, because they messed up the different types of currencies displayed: " whoops, 1.4k crystals gone, but I wanted to use guild coins...Whoops where are my guild coins for these 5 character shards... Oh well, I accidentally bought gear....aah, why can't I buy zetas? Oh... Bought item x. "

The other point, I've read many times, and even if it would help. The reason to collect (and grind) for more gear would be pointless. Oh and EA/CG would sell less with shipments. And, as soon as another char is out, everyone would have him at G11... Seems a bit bad.

Other ideas in this thread are really good though.

they wouldn't misclick if the prices were obv. Like, one store, with the different prices from each current store, so people could choose if they wanted to spend credits/fleet/etc on whatever they wanted.

it wouldn't be pointless to grind, it would just remove the luck factor. hell, triple the requirements if needed to make $, but the fact that we keep trying to get certain gear/shards and failing due to random/rng/etc is very frustrating. And there's no reason to have everyone with the same gear needs. they can be just as hard, just different imo. I don't mind spending money if it actually works.
  • One icon on the home page that would take you to a section where each store is then selectable - not all items in every store at once.
You'd click on a store and then go to that one.
But they would all be under the one roof, rather than going from one end of the cantina to another like you do now.
