What in the Whale?

Well it makes more sense them spending money on a game they enjoy playing rather than say..... waste your time moaning on forums about a game you dislike.

I like the game, but spending money on it seems a bit absurd. In 4-5 EA won't have the rights to Star Wars and the game will close very probable. That's all :)

Given they are already farmable, this is an easy pass I think, it's really only designed for people that want a day-one unlock of GL Ahsoka and are willing to pay a premium for that.

If no one paid money there would be no game. If you like the game, you should spend some money to compensate the people who provided you with the game.

whoever buys the rights will probably buy the servers. this game brings in an INSANE amount of money for essentially nothing at all other than servers running. SWGOH makes way too much for anybody to turn the servers off and quit its opperations

And most of the people who would buy such a pack, already have the characters and don't need to.  This is aimed purely at brand new or returning players.

Just another reason to stop spending money on the game.  They're more concerned about creating stupidly overpriced packs instead of quality and fixing all the bugs they keep making.

This is for the whales. According to Ahnaldt, who has been getting every new marquee day 1 via packs, it costs around $300 to whale on a new character. For some patient whales, skipping the initial use, skipping shard farming, but still having the character 7* before the GL is worth the $235 in savings. 

If it's not for you just be thankful that marketing likely did their research and that some whales are buying this, and they keep the game servers running for the rest of us F2P/minnows/dolphins.

The pack has yet to show up in the store. Good to see a whole alot of comments on pure speculation.
