I have unlocked all characters to level 4 except for zeb and r5 I believe I am being trolled on reddit as they're telling me the requirements will be higher for him when he becomes f2p on the journey quest have i wasted my money now in the hopes to unlock him as I'm not spending 60 pounds to get them.
During the era, you can unlock Rotta at 4 stars using only 4 star marquee characters. Assuming that Cassian and Rotta follow the same model as Spider Maul, Rotta will return in November, and at that point will require NR Era marquees at 7 stars, Relic 6 to unlock the slug, even at 4 stars.
If you go to the event it says in 20 days. I think in the past the other Era Legendaries did come back for a short run right at the end......but I'm not sure.

No, you're not being trolled. Andor and Maul Legendaries were the previous 2 Eras; expect the requirements for Rotta the 1 shotter to be in line with these 2. Furthermore, expect the event to be an absolute headache to complete.

I have no idea. I don't know how you have spent your money, nor what is a reasonable amount for you. I personally believe that getting a 4 star Rotta (especially for accounts not in mid-high Kyber) will be beneficial. To get it done in the next 20 days, you'll need to spend (I presume) around 1300 crystals x 6. This will get the final 2 to 4 stars. You don't need to get the 6th character (not released yet) to 4 stars (to unlock before the event moves to the Journey Guide).
