Why do Phoenix packs only give 25 shards?

I want to say there is an archived Reddit post with the rng rates when they first did this for fulcrum.

During marquee events, you can get up to, like, 15/30 on a 3* toon. They then offer a $10 pack for 25 shards that would get you to 4*. As long as I can remember, this has been the format for marquee character releases.

They simply brought back those exact same packs (which won't be available to you if you bought it the first time).

To give a better answer than inflation, When the packs first launched with the marquee events for the 6 of them. 25 shards would get them to 4*. Just doing the event would have only gotten them to 3* plus a few shards.

They unlock at 2 stars and they give you enough shards to unlock whatever the character pack may be. For example: if you bought a Jedi Anakin pack it would cost 20 dollars and you would get 80 shards which is enough to unlock.

Most of the $10 packs for new characters only gave 25 shards.
I bought most of them.

Edit: snowlo gave 40. He wasn't marquee character.

The packs only give what a toon unlocks ay. The phoenix squad was 2* just like the new han and chewie

Phoenix Squad was the beginning of the release schedule thing... which they have pretty much stuck with (whats up with ewoks)... the paks are the same ones from spring and yes its 25 shards... deal with it... from that time I've been able to 7* all 6 heros of the Phoenix Squad np... i bet i had em all 7* by july... and purchased ZERO paks... just good ole fashioned finger breaking farming...

So i dont understand what the issue is unless your crying to be heard much like a baby crys to see if they can evoke a response from others...

One day left on the PS paks now... and if you needed them to get 7* thrawn then you clearly didn't farm PS through the outlets that have been available for nearly half a year now... there has been ample time... and you better pray your PS heros are at g8 or better because completing the 7* thrawn event was an incredibly tough nut to crack.

I cannot wait to see this thread disappear into the bowels of the forum.

This is the answer right here. Most packs are designed with unlocking the character in mind. When these were designed everyone had just received them at 3 1/2 stars so they were instead designed to get them to 4 stars from 3 1/2.

Phoenix- 7 letters. 6 members- 7x6=42 . Rebel+Thrawn=11 letters. 42 minus 11 is 31. Star Wars=8 letters. 31-8 is 23. Light and dark are the 2 sides of the force. 23+2=25. 25 shards
