Why should i place defense in the new GA?
We don't gain points/banners, in fact we would help our opponent being able to score points. I hope my opponent is kind enough to place more defense than i did. Or did i miss some crucial info?

They’ll likely show up and do one attack. Win or lose you get 10 banners just for making your first attack—if you end the round with less than 10 banners you get no reward at all.
So if you’re going to autoset now you still have to do one attack to get credit, thus if logging in is what gives the unplaced defense banners we’ll know.
