Why should i place defense in the new GA?
We don't gain points/banners, in fact we would help our opponent being able to score points. I hope my opponent is kind enough to place more defense than i did. Or did i miss some crucial info?

Pretty much anyone who actually follows the Dev Tracker was already aware of this as it's been discussed a lot. If an opponent felt that strongly that they could just throw a GL in a zone and leave the rest empty and you wouldn't be able to clear it, let's face it, you were probably on the short-end of a mismatch anyway.
Its a big risk to rely on one GL to hold the entire zone, its safer to use GL + 2~3 trash teams that you will never use but everyone is free to gamble as they wish
