FWIW you could already skip two globals with no pass, that's 30 keycards and you can skip (iirc) 34
Except I’m guessing that the people who would need to skip two global feats also don’t have Jedi Knight Cal. So that’s 35 missing key cards for this conquest. - crzydroid3 years agoHero (Retired)

I mean, it's all going to depend on an individual's situation of course, but it's not all about "need"... if you can skip four globals, that time investment in those global feats would be worth $30 to a lot of people. There are so many people right now that have the rosters to max crate Conquest and just don't. It's not worth it to them. There are definitely people that would rather just buy things than grind. - Nonsense to suggest they aren't 'tightening the grip' on who can achieve red crate. The last two cycles have been paywalled behind mainly new character feats. I'm sure there will be ways to cheese feats but let's not pretend.
They are obviously intending red crate to only be achieved by more endgame players which is up to them, no complaints. Pass+ bonus is good for those willing to pay actually makes it a worth while deal.
I'm comfortable with waiting and unlocking after 2 cycles. I just hope they don't start making the gold crate unachievable, which is starting to become more of a reality. Otherwise it will eliminate the point for a whole load of players that try and stay competitive but not end game.
If proving grounds become CGs intended place for unlock for most players in that 5-8+ mil GP bracket, that's a tough pill to swallow. - LordDirt3 years agoSeasoned Ace

I havent spent $ since datacrons arrived and I have gotten the red crate every conquest so far. - Good for you,
You are either have the latest toys - according to swgoh.gg less then 1% have captain rex at gear 13 so far, or you've found a way to cheese some feats.
Your individual accomplishments or ability to cheese feats doesn't change the obviously new intended bar for success.
Again not complaining or digging out whales - I'm not completely f2p and whales keep the game alive. - crzydroid3 years agoHero (Retired)

How do you figure they were paywalled? There were only a few boss feats that featured Trench or Aphra. They aren't necessary for red crate. Tuskens could be skipped as well. Cal kills were easy to cheese...in fact, it was probably advisable to cheese even if you had him in relics. The latest toys were absolutely NOT necessary for Fury. - perfidius443 years agoSeasoned Newcomer.
- So are you saying they aren't directly linking a large amount of feats to new characters?
You also missed out the nightsister feats. Regardless of which, by both of our admission you can cheese some feats. However that's not the design surely you can see that? CG don't make these feats with the intention of us being able to cheese them.
Just to throw out the stats for some of these characters for the benefit of some end game players that don't quite get how difficult it's getting for the rest of the community to play conquest when it comes to these feats
According to swgoh.gg: (at gear 13)
1% of the overall playerbase has Captain Rex
3% have characters like cere, cal, merrin, tarful
3% newest tuskens
6% have aphra requirements
15% have inquisitors
10% have hera at relics but 1% has chopper
So to suggest that achieving red crate isn't aimed for endgame players is laughable. Again I have no complaints about this but firstly recognise the reality and secondly while your looking how to cheese a few feats to get red crate, the majority of players are counting key cards to ensure we can get gold, which is becoming harder. - LordDirt3 years agoSeasoned AceI guess most players should just accept that they have to wait for new things instead expecting to get them the first time around if they dont want to spend money.

That's a new low, CG.
We don’t need to do every feat to get last crate.
Maybe Capt rex and phenix are so awesome that a g11 Rex with a few disks would be enough to win fights in sector 1 without losing anyone.
Waiting until the end of conquest before seizing the pitchfork could be wise.
Don't even need to wait that long, usually smarter people than me have figured this stuff out within a few days.
There is a similar thread for the last Conquest when that looked just as grim. BitDynasty and others figured out how to get enough of the feats done with the provided disks.
I am hoping that enough of the feats will be solvable that the Phoenix feat won't be needed.
