I've gotten SWGOH working with the Marshmellow build of Android-x86. But I agree, it didn't work at all in Lollipop or Kit-Kat.
Thank you!
I've tried with older versions wrongly assumed that are more stable. Now I installed marshmellow and I am just looking at SWGOH tutorial  It is a bit laggy but I will try to tune it- scuba759 years agoLegend

Sweet! I will have to give it a try - my laptop is pretty old i5-3230M 16GB RAM but this takes really a lot...
I don't have sound and it is still a bit laggy but I can play.
Also have strange(for me) resolution 1024X768
what bothers me is that I will not be able to update it using Google Play store - I installed manually some swgoh apk from internet.
may be tomorrow I will try some more option but I will kill myself if I have to watch again this tutorial  - ronoaldojlp9 years agoNew SpectatorI was looking for a solution like this for a while. I ended up installing RemixOS on my laptop. I don't use windows, so no emulators work for me. For those that could run without issues, did you loaded up 32 or 64 bits iso on VirtualbBox?
- 32bit - android-x86-6.0-r1.iso
Edit: there is also x64 but I installed x86 - scuba759 years agoLegend

Apkpure is a good site to down load free apk from. Once an app is installed just install new over the old and it should take you right to logging in.
Also as long as you don't change the Android id of the vm, if you have to clear data it should pick right up from the login point. - I think I downloaded apk from Apkpure.
I mean that if I have to reinstall Android to try to change screen resolution and fix sound I have to watch tutorial again  - scuba759 years agoLegend

Gotcha. Could also get your Android ID and change to it if you have to reload - There are ways to change the resolution of Android-x86 without reinstalling. The sound fix shouldn't need a reinstall either. I'll try and dig up the resolution change info later tonight. At work right now. :)
I agree that it's pretty laggy, but I haven't tried running it on "good" hardware yet. Just a crappy old Lenovo T410. I think my lack of video RAM is what's causing my slowdowns.
I haven't experimented w/ 32-bit vs 64-bit. I installed and am running on the 64-bit version.
I have yet to find a reasonable way to emulate IOS, only simulators. Which seem to be HORRIBLY slow.
