Vader is still a leader in 7 out of the top 20 teams in my shard right now. If he was useless they would have all dropped out of the top 20.

That's not true, it actually fits with the established system of how a leader ability works with 2 tags and a single bonus.

Ex:
Lando lead sth doesn't get double speed

Palp lead (the second part with the single bonus of potency) doesnt give himself and vader double potency

All they did was make his ability work as described. Yes the description could be worded better but it is the established procedure for the double tag single bonus.

The AI plays all teams bad. If Zader teams are dropping, it's not sure to him. It's team comp, other players "catching up" and general rng.

Something that is really bad is when I have Boba faster than their Rex/Chirrut and my TIE is of course faster but when I Crit, Rex goes and does tenacity up. It's so ridiculous that you don't want to Crit and you have to rely on RNG.

I actually got rid of some of mods with speed for this reason. I wanted my boba to go first to block Rex and chirrut. If I don't block both of them, I hold off on B2's mow down until one of them cleanses.

Last week, I was running Wedge (L), Biggs, Palpatine, Shoretrooper, and Tie Fighter Pilot. Top 20 at payout on a March '16 shard. A few days ago, I switched to Palpatine lead and moved to top 5 at payout. Yesterday and today, Zader (L), Palpatine, TFP, Shore, and Boba have had me at #1. I fall to about 20 now instead of struggling to reach it.

Hahaha I was wondering why people were defending Vader lead as useful in arena, and I didn't know what this Palpatine/Vader nerf was.

I still use Vader lead in arena and with all the cleanses and anti-crit teams it is getting harder and harder to remain in the top 20 for me. I'm now more of a top 30 team. Once I get my Nihilis lead team set up, I expect to do better again.

Vader got a nice rework a while back, and it is pity this round of Empire pass failed to deliver. Vader needs another rework again in my opinion. Palpatine needs a zeta too.
