Every single team past Sector 3 (even tuskens lol) is faster than your entire roster is frustrating. Just saying.

2) Disks
3) The Tuskens always go first except when you use Han or Wat
Just saying.
I agree with you 100% - but I also agree with the point that it's eyeroll-inducing for CG to fall back on "just make everything super-fast" as a way to make things "challenging". Speed is, was and always will be king - especially if the developers themselves use it as a design crutch."Nikoms565;c-2265928" wrote:

It's also eyeroll-inducing to see players thinking they always need to go first, when we are given tools that make that not necessary. It's almost as if there is a strategy backed in to overcome this, without going faster........ but who wants to use strategy.- Konju24 years agoSeasoned NoviceIn a turn-based game, going first is the obvious initial strategy. Swapping disks to adjust from that initial strategy to other strategies *made available* using premium currency from the rewards of the event is prohibitive to that adjustment, though available (made available not “given”: 1. I didn’t know what the new disks did before the event, 2. I don’t know enemy stats to help prepare, 3. Not guaranteed to pick up the “entrenched” disk due to RNG on disks, better options could always be in the same nodes as entrenched even if I knew “just add protection” was a successful strategy)
It is also apparent to me that the difficulty of the event comes from the enemy team’s speed (“steadfast retribution” aside), hence finding methods to beat their speed is less cost prohibitive to try (swapping mods is cheaper than swapping disks). Going into next round your argument becomes 100% valid because we know the disks and we also know that Ewoks can be tuned to over 550 speed (after the rebalancing).
To be clear I did max the event, but I don’t dismiss the choices players have to make to beat or mitigate the “eye-rolling” speeds presented. Let us see enemy stats to help people succeed. 10 swaps are available from currency in each future event (not this one, unless you hoarded) if you max out the reward (between T5 & T6 crate and beat all missions) and choose all CAT shards. It’s possible, just costly especially when considering someone is struggling to clear all nodes in the first place. - Complaints about "lazy design" are in themselves lazy. If you can beat it, does it matter? No it does not.

Doesn't this kind of highlight the fact that "speed is not actually king" every time?
If you can't outspeed the enemy team anyway, it means you need to focus on other stats like tankiness for the opening wave for instance. It would actually promote speed if you absolutely needed to outrun the enemy team in order to win."Konju;c-2265960" wrote:

Going into a game mode without a plan is a bad idea, if planning in the first 2 sectors was done, then there is no need to use premium currency. Or just plan on needing it and have the patience to evaluate your situation with a small stash, so there is no worry about how you want to enjoy the game mode.
You didnt start the game mode with 12 points of discs, no one is forced to place them. There are resources out there to see what they did both before and after the game mode started.
Always focusing on one path as "the way" leads to being blind to other paths that can be more effective and more cost effective.- Konju24 years agoSeasoned Novice

I don’t disagree with a lot of this. I ran through sector 3 with 6/12 equipped, but that’s possible with my roster.
I could be mistaken about whether the info about what the new disks offered was given before the event but I only recall reading their names. This does not change that we cannot see enemy stats. This is an issue imo. - I'm almost positive we only got disc names, unless you saw the datamine. Even then I don't think it said the disc cost. Future Visions sounded great to me in the datamine, because I didn't know it was a purple.
