Bonus calendar skipped first day.

I claimed the bonus calendar from the web store, went to bed and the next morning when I logged on it had skipped day one and in order for me to get the zeta mat it wants me to pay 50 crystals. I gave it another day to see if it would correct itself. Is this WAI? If so I've never seen this behavior in all the years I've been playing this game and I'm not sure exactly I understand as I've never seen any calendar work this way in the past.
