Game is draining my phone's battery, overloading the CPU (Android)

Like many others, after the update I kept getting the message “Wifi Disabled. You are not connected to a WiFi network. Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes needs to download an additional 1mb. It is strongly recommended that that you connect to a WiFi network in order not to incur significant data charges" even though I was connected to wifi. It kept popping up the rest of the day, and my phone's battery was draining super fast, so I finally uninstalled and reinstalled the game. Since reinstalling, I haven't seen the wifi message again. 

But it is still draining my battery extremely quickly, and my phone is even having trouble charging up while the game is running (and no other apps are). Just now, I opened my phone's screen to see this message: 

Again, I had just picked up my phone again. I wasn't even playing it. At some point it had overloaded my phone while it was idling and no other apps were running. 

It's getting a little hard to keep my phone charged and still play it normally. And I think the frame rate is slower than before the update too.

Please fix this!
