Need to link SWGOH with another EA account

I had problems with my email and I am afraid to lose it to hackers. I already have a EA account that I created for SWGOH for fun a while ago but I didn't progress at all so I would like to use that EA account with my current game, how can that be done?

Should I unlink my account from the game and then link it with the other account? Will that work?
