Game Crashes (without warning or error message)

Still getting crashes when my sim goes to downtown locations and tries to go go home. Thats when it keeps crashing 😭

crashes after 20 minutes for me, you get no error so I have no idea what the problem is, haven't tested without cc, as if it is a mods problem going to take forever to find out what is the issue, wasn't happening before and haven't added anything new in over a month odd. It is very frustrating.

Just to add to this as of the new patch, I'm now getting red flashing "T" poses before the inevitable crash... seems more consistent now than before - every 3 or 4 days a "crash" will happen

I also have this, Game plays fine otherwise and finally allows me to use High shadows (I too get a long wait before the loading screen does anything initially), but at random times the game just instantly closes down... no error message or crash message - just back to desktop/EA App. I thought it may have been some CC/Mods but have tried with and without this and it seems I'm not the only one... Hope this can get fixed! :)

Having same exact issue ever since the latest update! I can sometimes get in and do a couple actions before it crashes but other times nothing - have tried to repair game in EA app to no avail :(

I had this happen to me once and it scared the living lights out of me. I will say I have not had it happen again. But I just make sure to periodically save my game just to make sure I don't lose a ton of progress. Esp now that my sims family has like 4 kids total.. Which has been a nightmare to manage.

I have experienced that, but only when I haven't cleared the cache. In your Documents/EA Games/The Sims 2 Legacy folder you may see two files called "accessory.cache" and "groups.cache" You can delete those two files, the game will automatically regenerate them. I find clearing them out periodically has helped stave off crashes in my game.
