Infinite Loading Screen Bug

I'd also like to note that when I reload back into the game after alt-f4ing out of the infinite loading screen, the car has it's alarm removed and owner reset.

That is why I think it may be related.

I'm not sure about any community lot using a car. But there is an infinite loading screen bug in the re-release in the University and Vacation DLC (and maybe Downtown?). Do you by chance still hear the game audio when it's infinitely loading? Some users including me hear the game running in the background while it's still displaying the loading screen.

I don't think so. I've seen people say they can but in my case I cannot hear anything in the background. It's just like my clip the whole time. It lasted for 3 minutes before I just alt-f4'd.

I can confirm after the newest update this is still an issue for me.

same here, my sims went to a lot and on the way back i was stuck in an infinitive loading screen. Closed the Game via TaskManager, loaded up my household again and one sim got deleted from the household so the update did NOTHING

I have tested again and can confirm this is still an issue for me after todays update.

Hi. I have tested this more and the cause of the bug is this:

If I go to a community lot with multiple sims - it bugs with the infinite loading screen.

If there is only one Sim, it works okay.

HOWEVER if taking a car back home, the Sim is bugged in an animation for about an in-game hour before the parking animation finally starts. See attached image. EA_Cade EA_Solaire

Is this happening in a neighborhood that was created after today's patch?

You'll need to move or delete the Neighborhoods folder in Documents -> EA Games -> The Sims 2 and a new Neighborhoods file will generate when you launch the game again. Be sure to delete the entire Neighborhoods folder rather than deleting the sub-folders within that file. 

If so, could you provide an EA Error Report ID and DxDiag for tracking purposes?

Yes. Although it doesn't happen initially, after a few hours of play on a fresh neighbourhood the bug occurs again. I don't know if it's related to Sims being added / removed from the family/household that causes this to happen. (Such as a family member going to university then moving back in).

I believe this because the bug (both of them) didn't occur to me straight away in both cases. (Both pre and post patch) It took some playtime for it happen.

Can you confirm if your documents folder is being synced with OneDrive?
