My game Unplayable.

My game worked fine until the 2 patches. I am now getting the D3DERR_invalid call application will now terminate.  This is ridiculous.... I wasted my money for a game I can't play. EA do better please fix this for everyone who bought this product. I'm a longtime Sims player and I'm ready to  stop playing all the games.
