Object Bug in Sims 2 Legacy

Hi all! I am so stoke that we now have Sims 1 and 2 in 2025, but my Sims 2 is having issues. Last week it was running perfectly fine, however over the last 5 days I have ran into heaps of problems, even after updating it with the latest update (06/02), one problem that I haven't seen anyone mention is that some objects appear to be 'in use' and therefore my sims can't use them... except for the fact there is no one actually using these objects!! For example: The bed, chess table and seats at the dinning table are like someone is using them. The bed looks like there is sim in there, and no one else can get in it, but no one is there. The chess table is half opened like someone is setting it up, and the dinning seats and half pulled out like someone was pulling it out to sit on. All of these items are unusable. I go into buy mode to select them, it says "can't select an object in use." Anyone else experiencing this? Any suggestions on how to fix? If
