Hey :) I haven’t had any issues myself, either starting a new family and getting an apartment, or loading into a family that lives in an apartment. I am on the Steam version though.
Sadly, I am not on steam version 😭 Mine is through EA app I honestly just started a save in a single-family home, so I don't got to deal LOL. I was just curious, and I did report it to EA through their app so I mean fingers crossed it does get resolved. I think now that my crashing issue has been fixed it's just working out the weird quirks within the game atm. But still enjoying the game though I am going to give another try with my sims having kids because my last save the child disappeared, so fingers crossed on this newer save I started today it works well with no issues.
