Sims 2 legacy full of bugs after todays patch

Soo im experiencing more bugs after I updated to February 6ths patch. My sim can no longer cook meals. When they get done cooking the sim resets and the food disappears and so now my sim can only eat snacks. I also have an issue with the bookcase, I can’t get my sim to read or study anything! I click on the bookcase and the sim just resets and now I have a put all books away option when I click on the bookcase again even though there are no books. I have repaired, uninstalled the game and nothing helps. Is anyone else experiencing the same issues especially with the bookcase?
