I'm havin the same problem with the first kiss scene, but with a sim I made. No matter how many times I pick the action "first kiss", it never registers despite the cutscene. Later, the same sim grew up to young adult when he went to college. No matter what I do, the interaction to pick a dorm door does not register either. I did some digging and found a reddit post suggesting the sim is not aging up correctly. I tried de-aging him and re-enter the dorm lot to trigger the aging, but the problem persists.
Made some more diging and found out the problem with the abduction cutscene in the Curious family, in which the cutscene triggers but the sims resets and them nothing happens (no abduction, just the camera facing the telescope). One youtuber found a way to corret it with a mod and, basicaly, what happened is that there is a series of reactions from the other sims in the lot when an abduction happens, organized in a numbered list; one os the expansion packs messed up with this list and now it triggers otherthings and this causes the but in the abduciton cutscene.
My hunch is that something similar may be happening in the other cutscenes (first kiss and aging up in college), but I don't know how to check this.
The distorted voices seems to be because they run the files through an audio cruncher.
