Sims 2 legacy not launching all of the sudden!

My sims 2 legacy was working without problem yesterday but after I had turned it off in between, it wouldn’t launch. I’ve tried it all at this point. I repaired the game, checked for compatibility, looked at what other people with similiar issues did and nothing has worked. I even deleted the game and the EA app and re-installed them both, and to no avail. All of this sucks and I don’t know what to do.

TLDR: When I press to play it goes to launch but goes back to EA app after a few seconds. And I can see that the time on how long i’ve played the game on the app goes up when I try to start it so it clearly tries to, but just wont go through with the launching.
